Crowns

Crowns are required to cap broken, damaged or decayed teeth, where a filling is not strong enough to hold. The tooth is prepared so that it is the correct shape and an impression is taken so that a technician can construct a crown, which is subsequently cemented to the tooth. They may be used for cosmetic reasons to cover unsightly or rotated teeth. The photo shown a porcelain fused to metal crown.
